Sofia Olexia-Daigle is a visual artist, working primarily in ceramics, glass and mixed media with a large body of work celebrating women and their various representations in society. Sofia is motivated to create pieces that bring unity and joy to the community, regularly volunteering her time teaching youth who may otherwise not have access to the arts. She is passionate about sharing work that is unique, but also relatable and inspires others to view art as a way to tell their own stories.
There is a different flower inside of each head. The lily means happiness. The rose means passion. The iris means sad. The poppy means anger. The daisy means mindless. A Passion flower is surprised. Disgust is a snap dragon. Awkward is a flopping tulip. Each of these flowers represents one of the many emotions that I have felt during quarantine.
