LAYLA CLARK

Layla Clark was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Layla is an artist, an art therapist, and a black queer woman. She has had the privilege to work alongside Yaya for the last 2 years as an art therapist in support of young artists. Layla uses oil and acrylic paint on canvas to illustrate layers of thoughts and emotions. Layla focuses more on her process than the product, in hopes that she is creating imagery that the viewer can connect to. Many of her works use lyrics and poetry. Connecting imagery with song lyrics creates a melody in and of itself where the vision of sound comes to life.
