Trynisha wright

Trynisha Wright is a 32 year old New Orleanian.  Alumni of Dillard University where she received her Bachelor’s in Art in May 2014. Her preferred mediums are oil and acrylic paint on canvas and wood surfaces. In 2017 she began a journey of teaching New Orleans youth to inspire them to use their creative capabilities as a much needed positive outlet. She has been a member of Young Aspirations/ Young Artists since February 2006. In the program she has received awards, public recognition as well as her first teaching experiences through the Urban Heroes Program. 

The body of work she is currently working on is entitled “Melanin in Bloom.” It connects her love and appreciation for nature with human connections. Just as plants go through photosynthesis to thrive, sunlight is essential to human health and well- being. She is passionate about telling this story through her artwork because plants represent growth and she wants to show a connection to community elevation as well.
